ANTI-DUMPING MEASURE CHINA

As of today, the import duty on steel galvanised bolts, screws, lock bolts and washers has gone into effect. It is a measure that has been the subject of investigations and hearings for more than a year, but at the end of last year we heard that it would definitely go into effect by 18 February at the latest. This is as of today, we only know officially since yesterday.

The import duty is considerable; in practice, it is 39.6% (low category) and 89.8% (high category), which means that the European Union will immediately impose this duty on containers from China with steel fasteners.

Because of the threat of this measure, manufacturers in neighbouring countries have considerably increased their prices (and delivery times) in recent months, which has forced us to implement additional price increases for these product groups separately.
