TO THE POINT

Recent years at Hoenderdaal have been dominated by the further growth and professionalisation of the organisation: both 'outside', through the move to new premises, and 'inside', through the implementation of a modern ERP system and the optimisation of various business processes.

 

ACTIVELY DEVELOPING

We are constantly evolving and the optimisation of our business processes continues every day. Under the leadership of new and young Managing Director Bart Veldhuizen, Hoenderdaal has taken a new, fresh direction since 2017. We have started to focus on process optimisation through digitisation and automation; we aim to use this to make our work more fun, easier and efficient.

2017

In 2017, we started building the first Power-BI dashboards for internal use. With these dashboards, we can instantly see the progress of our operational processes in different processes and places in our company. This gives us an overview, allows us to change course where necessary and allows us to set targets and improve our performance. In cooperation with Dashdata's Power-BI specialists, we are still working on improving or extending our dashboards.

2018

In 2018, we implemented our PIM system from Syncforce. This Product Information Management system contains all our product information and content. It is our 'data socket' through which we can offer this commercial and logistical production information to our customers as complete as possible, in various forms. The PIM system is thus our powerful data engine with 'one single source of truth' in which all our product data is managed, enriched and transmitted.

2019

In 2019, we took a very big step in logistics automation with the successful implementation of a new WMS system in combination with voice-activated order picking. Prior to going live with this in November, we spent over two years preparing and testing. We smoothly switched to Actimium's WMS system, which should make our logistics processes more measurable, scalable and smart in the future.

2020

In 2020, we implemented Slim4's inventory optimisation software for a better balance between stock availability and our actual sales. With Slim4's smart algorithms, we have a tool in our hands for an optimal ratio between our stock levels and product availability where our buyers can start to manage especially on the exceptions and thus do their job better than before.

2021

In 2021, we went live with our new Hoenderdaal online ordering platform. We took the first step 'outward' after several years of preparation on the data and infrastructure side. The new website with extensive webshop ensures optimal ordering convenience and gives our customers a lot more information about our products with current prices and stocks. Behind the login area of the order portal, our customers can find information about their order history, download invoices, view backorder overviews and soon also see shipping information.

2022

In 2022, we took an important step in the growth of our export business with the establishment of sister company Felcom Fasteners. As a company and with our products, we are all set for growth abroad.

PLEASANT WORK ATMOSPHERE

As an employer, we pay close attention to the well-being and job satisfaction of our employees. We consider this to be part of being a good employer. With our team of some 65 employees, we all ensure every day that the ordered products are delivered to our customers on time. Our organisation is flat, with short lines and the atmosphere is informal. Every day, we strive for the best result for our customer and do so in a pleasant working atmosphere. Because if something is fun to do, you do it better. We are a close-knit team and loyalty is strong within the company. Several of our colleagues have enjoyed working with us for decades and we enjoy building long-term relationships this way.

 

OUR DREAM

We have set ourselves the goal in 2020 to sell 5 billion fastening materials a year in 10 years' time.
This is double the number we sell now.
We measure the number of fastening materials by the number of Dynaplus and Rotadrill screws sold.
